This quote from a recent interview with Mike Mills of REM made me smile, because the exact thing happens when concepts are created and shared during the development process:
“A demo is supposed to show you what the arrangement of the song is and how it’s gonna go. And you play it to someone from the record company and they go: ‘The drums could sound bigger.’ Well, it’s a demo!”
